How do you define reform?
How do you define reform? An expert mentioned in this op-ed thinks that when it comes to education, reform comes by way of a national education academy, modeled after the military's West Point. What do you think? Will our children be better off in the hands of teacher soldiers? The "experts" say America needs to catch up to the leaders in education, like Finland and South Korea. There's no doubt as a nation we are desperate for a major shake up of our education system. We do need to do a better job teaching our children to think critically, independently, and creatively. The question is, how? Maybe Arne Duncan should take a look at Sweden in addition to Finland. Oh and by the way, South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world.
